I poured through a dictionary trying to find anything that sounded decent as a handle.  Everything I came across had already been used, which is pretty scary considering how long ago it was; I can just imagine how hard it is now to find something unique now.

Anyway, as I was passing through the 'P's I ran across psi, which in my dictionary was either the 23rd letter of the Greek alphabet or the abbreviation for pounds per square inch.  As an avid science fiction reader I knew that psi had another meaning, as an abbreviation for psionics (powers of the mind like telepathy, telekinesis, etc).  Of course, you can look at dictionary.com now and find as good a definition as I just laid out, but where's the fun in that?

So, I looked at the word psi and knew that I wanted to do something with that.  I've always been fascinated with the paranormal and parapsychology, and while I believe that some measure of abilities like that is possible, I also knew that I was completely normal -- i.e. I had no such powers of the mind.

So, that's it.  That's where PsiNormal comes from.  It's a word I made up out of thin air to be somewhat of an oxymoron, although it's not really a "pair" of words.  So, I've got my very own word I created, which by the way means it's ? 1997-2023, thank you very much.  Isn't that special? :)
